Large UK Chartiy
Turnover
60 million per month
Background
The Directors of a charity with a significant number of shops were constantly contacted by people wanting to volunteer in one of the shops. They were also contacted by people wanting to offer their services for work and consultancy to the charity. The charities directors could not afford to allocate staff time dealing with the enquiries as they were under budget constraints. They opened an account with LifeWorklife.
Why they used the service
They used the LifeWorklife tool to enable them to keep up with the demand and capture the volunteers and potential workforce without impacting on the day to day running of the organisation.
How it benefited them
By allowing all their management team, (managers in shops, recruiters nationwide and strategists looking for particular skills) the chance to access these resources though LifeWorklife they were able to manage the recruitment and volunteering processes in an orderly way. This benefited both the charity and the people wanting to work for them as the route to them was much clearer and easier.
Names
Frogmore School
Turnover
£340,000
Background
The governing body of the school needed to find resources to help them with the lunch time supervisors and caretakers roles. The Govenors also needed to find community governors locally to be able to take over roles as they got to the end of their term.
Why they used the service
The school struggled to reach people in the community other than parents and often the parents were at work. It was hard to communicate school needs further than the school community.
The school also found that keeping up with changes in peoples circumstances and being able to replace people at short notice was difficult.
How it benefited them
By using LifeWorklife they were able to schedule their part time support staff more effectively, engage with local people that they did not normally come in to contact with and maintain peoples details on line so should someone be required at short notice it was easy to find the people to try first.
